Lockheed Martin Canada MST presents Centennial Award
The Lockheed Martin Canada Centennial Award was created in 2010 in partnership between The Navy League of Canada and Lockheed Martin Canada. The award was established to recognize excellence among junior non-commissioned personnel in the Royal Canadian Navy and his/her contribution to the quality of life in Canada’s Navy, as evidenced by their dedication, enthusiasm, and spirit of cooperation at sea and ashore.
In addition to the recipient being presented with the plaque and having their name engraved on the Centennial Cup, the award also comes with two $1,500 cheques in which the recipient selects a Military Family Resource Centre and a Navy League Branch to receive the donations.
This year, a Charlottetown reservist was singled out for her personal determination and leadership during an award ceremony January 21, 2015. Leading Seaman Alecia Barlow received the Centennial Award during a ceremony at the HMCS Queen Charlotte. Gary Fudge, LM Canada MST’s Program Manager for HCM, was at the event to present the award.
